Reservations / Payments
One-Day Tours: PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF DATE OF BOOKING for at least one person in your party. If you are traveling with a larger group, our tour consultants will advise you what payment is needed. We do not accept payment of less than the cost of the day trip (No partial payments). The balance for the remaining passenger(s) will be due 40 (forty) days prior to departure. When there are concert or show tickets involved, payment in full is required at the time of sign up.
Multi-Day Tours: The deposit required is listed on the tour flyer and is due within two weeks of the date you make your reservation. The remaining balance is due no later than the date listed on the tour flyer. No billing will be made, so please mark your calendars in order to ensure that your payment is sent in on time.
Please note that you risk the chance of your reservation being cancelled if your payment is not received on time.
Lodestar accepts payment on tours in the form of cash, personal checks or credit cards. Our prices are based on cash or checks. If you wish to use your credit card or debit card, there will be a 3.5% service fee added to your tour price for credit cards and 2.5% fee for debit cards. This service charge does not apply to Cruise packages with the cruise line charge. However, the service fee may apply to any additional features of a cruise tour.
Air or Cruise Packages:
Cancellation policy that is applicable to the cruise line or tour company.
Multi-Day Tours: 41+ DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE:
Full refund less any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, hotel rooms, service fees).
LESS THAN 40 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE: NO REFUND UNLESS A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND
If reservations are cancelled prior to 40 days before departure, you will be charged a penalty of 50% of the cost of the trip plus any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, meals, service fees). No refund will be given to those cancelling less than 40 days prior to departure, unless a replacement is found. IF A REPLACEMENT IS FOUND, a full refund will be issued.
Travel Insurance is Available and is Strongly Recommended
Please discuss this option with one of our tour consultants at Lodestar. This insurance will protect you in the event of a sudden emergency occurring before or during your trip that causes you to cancel.
Please note that if the insurance is purchased within 7 days of initial trip payment, the Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion will be waived. You must be medically able to travel when you pay your premium.
Multi-Day Tours: We will mail you a departure information package approximately fourteen (14) days prior to departure (itinerary, baggage tag(s), and hotel information). In case of late bookings, departure information will be sent once final payment has been received.
One-Day Tours: A receipt with the departure time and seat assignment will be given to you at the time you make payment. Additional information will be listed on your receipt. On the day of your trip, please bring your receipt with you to assistant your escort in checking you in.
Note: Lodestar Tours does not mail tickets for the attractions, shows, etc. included on our tours. The escort will have them in his/her possession and will distribute them on the bus.
Cruise Tours: You will be contacted by mail in regards to the pre-tour dinner. Please R.S.V.P. by the requested date. Proof of citizenship is required for all cruises. A VALID PASSPORT IS RECOMMENDED. Please speak to a tour consultant at Lodestar Tours regarding your proof of citizenship
Lodestar Tours acts only as an agent in arranging transportation, accommodations, or any optional sightseeing tours, cruises, etc. Therefore, Lodestar is not responsible for any damages, loss, delay, injury, or accident due to weather, or any act of default of any company or person engaged in providing service included in our tours. We reserve the right to cancel any tour or make changes in any itinerary as we deem necessary. Lodestar Tours is not responsible to any person for expense, loss of time or money or other circumstance resulting from a change in itinerary or change of tour arrangements. Any person may be dismissed from any tour at any time by the Tour Director or Driver in charge should his or her conduct not be in harmony with the rest of the passengers; no further obligation will be assumed by Lodestar Tours or anyone in their employ
