Our first stop on this trip will be Dearborn, Michigan with a visit to the Henry Ford Museum. Visit the Ford Rouge Factory and then off to Mackinac City where we'll board the afternoon ferry to beautiful Mackinac Island. We are visiting the Island during the Lilac Festival, a celebration that blends the Island's historic varieties of lilacs. On the island, you will have a 90 minute narrated tour that will take you past the beautiful Grand Hotel, up to Surrey Hill, through the state park and a stop for a great view at Arch Rock. Your tour ends at Fort Mackinac where history will come alive before your very eyes. We'll have a great lunch at the Grand Hotel's sumptuous luncheon buffet. Afterwards, you'll have time to spend relaxing on the front porch of the hotel and strolling the grounds and shops. Our next destination on the trip is Frankenmuth, where we'll visit Bronner's Christmas Wonderland and tour the Zielinger Wool Company. You will visit the St. Lorenz Lutheran Church known for their beautiful stained glass windows.
A deposit of $100.00 per person is required to confirm your reservation.

Day One - Sunday, June 4
Depart Johnstown PA for Michigan, arrive in Dearborn, MI mid-afternoon. Visit The Henry Ford Museum - 12-acre museum houses major collections in transportation, Power and ship machinery, agriculture, lighting and communications, home arts, furniture, glass and ceramics. The "Automobile in American Life", a study of car culture in the United States, headlines the many exhibits, which also include the mighty 600-ton Allegheny locomotive. Best Western Greenfield Inn, Romulus MI Dinner included at the hotel.

Day Two - Monday, June 5
Full Buffet Breakfast at your hotel. Tour the Ford Rouge Factory. It is a celebration of the innovation of manufacturing in America - where history and technology merge. GO behind the scenes inside the world's largest automotive complex. EXPERIENCE a virtual reality theater adventure. See the world's largest living roof. DISCOVER the new Ford factory where the F-150 is made. Depart for Mackinaw City, with lunch on your own along the way. Board the ferry to Mackinac Island. Upon arrival to the island, check in at a full service historic hotel with restaurant, lounge, indoor pool, whirlpool. Dinner included tonight at the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening on your own, the hotel is close to pubs and shops to browse, or sit and listen to live music.

Day Three - Tuesday, June 6
Buffet Breakfast included at the hotel. Meet in front of the hotel for your Mackinac Island Carriage tour. Your 90 minute narrated tour of the island will take you past the beautiful Grand Hotel, up to Surrey Hill, through the State Park and stop for a great view at Arch Rock. Your tour stops at Fort Mackinac - where history comes alive! After your tour, horse drawn taxis will transport your group to lunch. Your tour will stop at the Grand Hotel, where you will enjoy the sumptuous Luncheon Buffet. Afterwards, spend some time relaxing on the 660' front porch of the hotel, stroll the grounds and the shops. Meet your horse drawn taxis to take you back down the hill and into the downtown area. The rest of the afternoon is on your own to enjoy as you wish. Relax on the front porch, rent a bike, walk the boardwalk, or buy some fudge and souvenirs! Dinner is on your own tonight, lots of choices within close walking distance to the hotel.

Day Four - Wednesday, June 7
Buffet Breakfast included. Ferry to the mainland and meet your coach to depart for Frankenmuth. Tour the Zeilinger Wool Company and see how wool socks are made. Hear and see the Glockenspiel play The Piped Piper outside the Bavarian Inn restaurant in the 35 - carillon bell tower. Beneath the bells is a large stage where carved wooden figures moving on tracks act out the legend of the Pied Piper of Hameln. The tale of the Pied Piper of Hameln dates back to the 13th Century and tells of a plague of rats in the German town of Hameln. There is a plaza here with benches to sit on. Arrive at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, the world's largest Christmas retail store. Check in to your hotel, Drury Inn & Suites. The hotel is located downtown, you can venture down the street and browse the shops here on your own, or stay and enjoy the 5:30pm Kick Back at the hotel with heavy appetizers and complimentary drinks. Dinner at Bavarian Inn Restaurant in the main dining room. They offer a strolling accordion player throughout the restaurant. Family Style Dinners include: Homemade Stolen and White Bread with house-made Preserves, Noodle Soup, Coleslaw and three Seasonal Salads, Hot Vegetables, Buttered Noodles, BIR Famous Chicken, served with bowls of creamy mashed potatoes, gravy and baked dressing. Chef's Choice Dessert, Coffee, Tea, Milk or Fountain Soft Drinks. Afterwards browse the shops - the Castle Shops are open until 9pm. If you missed the Glockenspiel at 3pm, it plays again at 9pm.

Day Five
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour the St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, with its beautiful stained glass windows. (Subject to availability) More time for shopping at Bronner's or downtown before you depart for home.
